about Barefoot on Sacred Ground

It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Here I am, diving into the unknown, embracing the adventure, holding on to Thomas Merton’s word that each day I experience will never come again. So I will do my best to not waste them. Life, as Love, is a verb. It is action, not an emotion.

I will trust myself to write. 30 days. This is my commitment. It’s not about bravery or courage to follow a divine path, it’s about the urgency to be REAL, to be me. I am trying to be like the little bird that feels that dawn is about to break and starts to sing even if it still is dark.

I will explore the notion of “I am”. That special untouched part of me, my vulnerable wilderness – Untouched, Uncontrolled and most of all Uncompromised.

So in trust,

Michi
